Pulitzer Prize Winners Speak To Conversations LIVE

For Mississippi native Cyrus Webb one of the most gratifying parts of hosting Conversations LIVE since July 2003 has been the wide range of people he has interviewed. Whether they are authors, recording artists, actors, directors, community leaders or just interesting people with a story to tell, Webb has done his best to give his audience and the guest a platform like no other.

As the 38 year old celebrates his 10th year anniversary of the nationally recognized radio show, he is pleased to recognize some of the literary giants he has had the pleasure of talking with over the years, namely the Pulitzer Prize winners.

They come from all backgrounds and interests, but the one thing that they all have in common is their love of the written word...

In November 2008, Cyrus Webb talked with author Douglas Blackmon about his book SLAVERY BY ANOTHER NAME. You can listen to the interview here.

In October 2009, Cyrus Webb welcomed author Tim Page to the show to discuss his book PARALLEL PLAY. You can listen to the interview here.

In May 2010, Cyrus Webb talked with author Joseph Hallinan about his book WHY WE MAKE MISTAKES. You can listen to the interview here.

In October 2010, Webb talks with Washington Post columnist and author Eugene Robinson about his book DISINTEGRATION. You can listen to the interview here.

In February 2011, Webb talked with author Isabel Wilkerson about her book THE WARMTH OF OTHER Suns and how the project changed her life. You can listen to the interview here.

Cyrus Webb Celebrates 400th Radio Show Of 2011 With 9/11 Tribute

(Monday, September 12, 2011) Cyrus Webb, host of Conversations LIVE celebrated his 400th radio interview of 2011 on Sunday, September 11, 2011 with his special edition of Inspirational Conversations called "America Remembers: A 9/11 Tribute (Part 2).

"It was a powerful show not just because of the milestone for the show but for what it meant for the country and the world," says Webb, 36. The date marked the 10 year anniversary of the horrific terrorist attack on American soil, and it was Webb's goal to use the weekend not just for reflection but to encourage his listeners to find their own meaning for themselves. "We have the gift of life," he says. "That's something we can't take for granted. We have to make sure we are living each day to the fullest not just for ourselves but those around us."

On the show during the special program Webb spoke with author Walter Meyer who lost a childhood friend in the first plane that hit the World Trade Center Towers. He also spoke with recording artist and native New Yorker Tomas Doncker about how the day affected him. Both were powerful yet inspring conversations.

If you missed the first one with a terrific panel of individuals who all used the events of 9/11 to make changes in their lives visit www.tinyurl.com/americaremembers. The final part of the series took place Sunday evening with Brian O'Rear, a 22 year Air Force Veteran who was involved in the War on Terror.
